Portrait of Wes Salazar, founder of Project Sixty Six

Wes Salazar · Founder

For more than a decade, Wes Salazar has been running around with kids—hitting them with bowling balls, smacking them with pool noodles, making them laugh, and occasionally wondering how any of this counts as ministry.

But underneath all the chaos has always been something much bigger: showing kids the love of Jesus.

Wes has a passion for making faith real, memorable, and engaging for the next generation. He believes kids don't just need another lesson about the Bible—they need to open it, read it, wrestle with it, understand it, and discover for themselves what God has to say.

That passion became Project Sixty Six.

Built around the 66 books of the Bible, Project Sixty Six combines Scripture, challenges, accomplishment, and a little fun to help kids develop something that can last far beyond children's ministry:

A genuine love for the Word of God.

And if it takes a few pool noodles and bowling balls along the way… Wes is completely fine with that.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

Psalm 119:105
